What began as unexplained childhood experiences evolved into a lifelong journey of healing, intuition, and helping others navigate loss with hope and understanding.
More people than ever are searching for emotional clarity, yet many admit they feel disconnected from their own instincts. A recent rise in interest around spiritual guidance, intuition, and emotional healing reflects something deeper happening in modern life. People are overwhelmed by constant opinions, endless noise, and the pressure to always appear certain, even when they feel lost inside. Somewhere along the way, many stopped listening to themselves.
Shereece Davison understands that feeling in a way few people can explain because her connection to intuition began long before adulthood. As a child sitting in her elementary school classroom, she experienced moments that felt unusual to everyone except her. She could sense what adults in the room were thinking about one another and even about her. In her mind, she would finish people’s sentences before the words were spoken aloud. At that age, these experiences simply felt like a normal part of everyday life.
While many children slowly silence their inner voice as they grow older, Shereece continued paying attention to hers. Those early experiences shaped a deeper understanding of emotions, energy, and human connection, eventually guiding her towards helping others navigate their own emotional uncertainty.
What draws people towards her story is the honesty within it. She speaks about intuition with warmth and simplicity rather than mystery or spectacle. In a time when many people struggle to trust their own feelings, Shereece offers something comforting: the reminder that intuition still holds meaning, and that emotional awareness remains one of the most human forms of guidance.
Let us learn more about her journey:
A Voice Beyond Fear
For much of her early life, Shereece did not fully understand what was happening to her. The experiences came quietly at first, unexpected moments that disturbed the ordinary rhythm of life and forced her to question what existed beyond the visible world.
It was not until junior high school that she had her first unmistakable experience with spirit communication. During a summer vacation through the Four Corners region of the American Southwest, she and her father had been driving for hours. Exhausted from traveling, she sat reading while her father focused on the road ahead. Then she suddenly heard a strong male voice say, “Look!”
The voice startled her so deeply that she nearly jumped out of her seat. When she looked at her father, it was immediately clear he had neither spoken nor heard anything. Turning toward the window, she saw a stunning natural golden arch glowing against the landscape, something she still describes as worthy of a National Geographic cover.
Looking back now, she recognizes it as a beautiful gift from spirit. At the time, though, the experience frightened her. It forced her to realize the world was not as straightforward as she had believed. The fear of that realization became so strong that, for years afterward, she unconsciously shut down her abilities.
The Moment Everything Reopened
Years later, while in college, those intuitive abilities slowly began returning. The turning point came after the death of her grandfather.
She still remembers standing alone beside his casket at the funeral home. As she looked at him, memories surfaced of the last time they had spoken. Quietly, she told him how much she would miss him. Then, as she walked toward the door, she heard his voice respond.
He told her he loved her and would miss her, too.
The voice sounded so real, so close, that it felt as though he were standing beside her. Unlike her earlier childhood experience, this time she did not retreat in fear. She accepted the moment fully and embraced what she had heard.
For years, she kept the experience to herself. Much later, when she finally shared it with her brother, he revealed that their grandfather had spoken to him that same day as well.
Learning to Communicate With Spirit
While those early moments opened the door, Shereece feels her true development as a medium began after the unexpected death of her cousin Kimberly.
The two were close in age, and Kimberly’s passing at just 37 years old came suddenly. According to Shereece, the communication began almost immediately after her cousin’s death. Initially, Kimberly was not at peace with what had happened.
For two weeks, they communicated through inspirational writing. Over time, those impressions developed into full communication.
During that period, Kimberly asked her to write a letter to her immediate family. The request terrified her because her abilities had remained deeply private for years. Still, she felt she had to trust both herself and the communication she was receiving.
When she finally presented the letter, Kimberly’s sister responded emotionally, telling her it sounded exactly like her.
After that moment, Shereece noticed a shift. Kimberly’s energy softened, and she seemed finally able to rest peacefully.
Up until then, Shereece had only communicated through inspired writing. She credits Kimberly for helping her advance into direct one-on-one readings and for guiding her toward the next stage of mediumship.
To this day, she remains deeply grateful for that experience and everything it taught her.
More Than Belief
For Shereece, evidential mediumship is not simply about spirituality or intuition in a vague sense. She views it as a practice grounded in evidence, details, memories, names, personality traits, and deeply personal information that validates the identity of the communicator in spirit.
She describes a medium as someone capable of bridging two worlds, receiving and transmitting communication between physical life and the spirit world. Every reading differs because each spirit carries a distinct personality, and every connection between spirit and medium unfolds differently.
That need for evidence remains central to her work today.
Before readings, she intentionally avoids asking clients questions. Instead, she prefers to remain fully present and allow the information to emerge naturally. During sessions, she explains that the goal is for enough details to come through so that the identity of the loved one becomes unmistakable.
The information, she notes, should “paint a picture.”
Messages often carry reassurance, love, guidance, and emotional healing. At times, readings also reveal intuitive abilities within the clients themselves, helping them better understand their own sensitivity and inner knowing.
Discipline Behind the Gift
Although many people view mediumship as mysterious, Shereece approaches it with discipline and structure. She maintains that a genuine connection reveals itself through the evidence provided during a reading. For the medium, however, consistent development is essential.
Over the years, she has studied extensively at Arthur Findlay College, one of the world’s best-known institutions for spiritual and mediumship studies. She also regularly demonstrates at The Journey Within and Angel Cooperative.
Preparation before a session is equally important to her. Before each reading, she meditates and grounds herself. Sometimes impressions arrive during meditation itself. Other times, the information only begins once the client walks through the door.
No reading, she insists, is ever identical to another.
Boundaries, Skepticism, and the Weight of the Work
One of the biggest misconceptions people have about mediums, according to Shereece, is the assumption that they are constantly connected to spirit.
She admits that earlier in her journey, boundaries were harder to maintain. With experience, she learned how important energetic discipline truly is. Today, she keeps communication largely limited to scheduled readings. Unless an energy is exceptionally strong, she does not allow spirit communication to interrupt daily life. She also makes it clear that she does not read people unless they specifically ask her to.
Before stepping fully into mediumship professionally, Shereece worked in the corporate world in science, sales, and marketing. For years, she kept those two worlds completely separate.
What changed over time was not necessarily public opinion, but her relationship with it. As her confidence in her abilities strengthened, fear of judgment from others gradually lost its power.
Internal skepticism, in her view, can only be overcome through practice and dedication. “Practice, practice, and more practice,” became the foundation that allowed her to trust herself more deeply.
A Different Understanding of Life and Death
At the center of Shereece’s work is one belief she returns to repeatedly: life continues beyond physical death.
She sees evidential mediumship as offering people more than emotional comfort. It can create a profound shift in how they understand existence itself. When highly personal details emerge through a reading, details only the sitter could recognize, many people begin questioning long-held assumptions about death, consciousness, and the soul.
How each individual integrates that realization, she believes, remains deeply personal.
Still, she sees mediumship as a reminder that people are never entirely alone. Guidance, connection, and support continue to exist, even when they cannot be physically seen.
Grounding, Healing, and Spiritual Responsibility
Outside of readings, meditation and mindfulness remain essential parts of her daily life. She considers quieting the mind necessary in order to connect with higher frequencies and intuitive awareness.
She also recognizes that intuition exists within everyone to some degree. Whether through gut feelings, emotional sensitivity, or unspoken understanding, people naturally access intuitive information throughout their lives. In her view, mediums are simply psychics who have developed the ability to tune into spirit communication more directly.
For those interested in exploring mediumship or spiritual healing, she emphasizes that the work must begin internally.
According to Shereece, spiritual awareness starts with healing oneself first. She encourages people to explore different teachers, methods, and practices while developing their own personal understanding instead of copying someone else’s path entirely.
No two practitioners, she insists, work exactly alike.
Word of Wisdom – Guidance for Those Seeking a Reading
For those drawn toward mediumship or spiritual healing, Shereece believes the journey must begin with self-healing and personal discovery before anything else.
In her view, spiritual growth is deeply connected to inner work. She believes that when a person begins healing themselves emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, that healing naturally extends outward into the world around them because everyone is interconnected in ways people often overlook.
Rather than encouraging people to follow a single rigid path, she urges them to remain open to learning from different teachers, practices, and healing modalities. Over time, she believes individuals should build their own unique “tool box” based on the methods, experiences, and insights that genuinely resonate with them.
Shereece also emphasizes that no two practitioners work alike. Every person brings different sensitivities, perspectives, and discoveries into their spiritual work, which is why she encourages people to embrace their individuality instead of trying to replicate someone else’s journey.
Creating Space for Connection
Over the years, Shereece has learned that a meaningful reading depends not only on the medium, but also on the openness and participation of the sitter. She believes spirit communication works best when approached with patience, honesty, and a willingness to trust the process, even when messages arrive in unexpected ways.
To help people prepare for a session, she shares a few important guidelines that she believes create a stronger connection and a more authentic experience:
- Through thoughts and prayers, she encourages clients to ask their loved ones to communicate clearly through the medium. In her experience, intention and openness can strengthen the connection.
- She advises people to approach readings with an open mind. Although many hope to hear from one specific person, she notes that it is often the strongest energies that make the first connection.
- During the reading, she appreciates simple confirmation when information is accurate. Rather than feeding information to the medium, a simple “yes” or “no” helps maintain a positive and natural flow of energy.
- She also encourages clients to actively work with the medium during the session. Sometimes a symbol or reference may arise that only holds meaning for the sitter, even if it initially seems unclear.
- According to Shereece, spirit communicators often retain aspects of their personalities. Someone who was shy in life may communicate more quietly and require greater patience, while naturally outgoing personalities may come through more strongly.
- Above all, she reminds clients that Spirit has its own agenda. That unpredictability, she believes, is what makes every reading unique and deeply personal.
